Our healthy recipe for Green Tea X50 Gingerbread Protein Slice is fibre rich, very moorish and a great breakfast, snack or energy boost before training. Full of X50 Raw Vegan Protein and gluten free, it’s perfect for pre or post workout lean muscle replenishment and building.
Ingredients
½ cup of X50 Raw Vegan Protein (vanilla flavoured)
¼ cup of flaxseed (ground)
¼ cup of palm sugar
1 ½ cups of gluten-free steel cut rolled oats
1 ½ cups of organic almond milk (preferably unsweetened)
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
1 beaten egg
3 tbs molasses
¼ cup organic raisins
¼ cup organic dates
Method
To cook this healthy recipe start by pre-heating your oven to 375 degrees. Combine all your dry ingredients in a bowl, but leave out the palm sugar for now. In a separate bowl blend together all the wet ingredients, the egg and the coconut palm sugar. Fold the wet ingredients through the dry until well combined, then add the raisins and dates. Line a pan with baking paper and spoon the mixture onto the pan. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes. Once cooled cut into bars or squares then you can either serve or freeze the slice.
